We talked about how Jesus was masterful at exposing our motives through His words and teachings.

Today we talked about what it means to be made in the image of God. We also went to an often misunderstood saying from Christ to the Pharisees regarding payment or “tribute” to Caesar and “giving to Caesar what is Caesar’s and what is God’s to God”. Take a listen!

In Matthew 5 Jesus says we must have a “righteousness that exceeds that of the Pharisees” to be enter His Kingdom. Jesus is speaking about our hearts, and not merely outward showing. We can get good having our cups clean on the outside while wasting away with sin in the inside.
