Most people don’t wake up one day and decide to walk away from God. It’s usually slower than that. A little less time with Him here, a little more distance there. Before long, you’re not growing, not praying, not really seeking Him, and when someone asks about it, it’s easy to brush it off. “I’m fine… I’ve got my own thing with God.” But if we’re being honest, that can sometimes be more of a cover than the truth. Today, Pastor Terry asks us to drop the guard, get real, and recognize when our hearts have started to drift.
Ever have one of those weeks where your faith feels… off? You’re not where you used to be, not as steady, not as strong. Maybe you’ve been going through the motions, or maybe you almost didn’t even show up today. But what if I told you… even when your faith feels shaky, God’s faithfulness never is? He doesn’t pull away when you struggle. He doesn’t give up when you stumble. Today, Pastor Terry reminds you of a powerful truth: your faith may waver, but God never will… and He’s closer than you think.
If we’re honest, most of us don’t think about the foundation of our lives until something starts falling apart. Everything feels fine, until it isn’t. A situation changes, something unexpected hits, and suddenly we realize what we were standing on wasn’t as strong as we thought. And here’s the reality: storms don’t skip anyone. Today, Pastor Terry reminds us that when our life is built on something unshakable, when it’s anchored in God, we don’t just survive the storm. We’re still standing when it’s over.
Have you ever noticed how everything today is about “me”? My goals, my rights, my plans. And without even realizing it, that mindset can sneak into our walk with God, too. We start thinking, “I got this… I can handle it… I’ll figure it out.” But then life hits, and suddenly we’re tired, stressed, and wondering why it all feels so heavy. What if it’s not about trying harder? What if it’s about letting go? Today, Pastor Terry reminds us that God doesn’t bless the “I got this” attitude; He blesses those who say, “God, I need You.”
The incomprehensible thing about our God is that He is eternally and unconditionally faithful! When we mess up, when we run from God, and seek our own selfish wants, He is patient to wait for our return! He is faithful!!! In today’s message, Pastor Terry will repeat that we serve a patient, compassionate, and loving God! There is no act we could do, or thought we could think, that could ever make God love us less or leave us! God will be faithful to you, even when you’re not faithful to Him!
Praying and speaking with our heavenly Father is vital to our relationship and growth! Prayer is not an optional thing; it is a mandatory and daily practice that ALL Christians must do. We can’t have a healthy relationship with God if we don’t talk to Him, right? Real connection needs communication! In today’s message, Pastor Terry will encourage you to pray! Pray right now! You don’t need to wait for Sunday morning, or for someone else to lead it, you can talk to God one-on-one today!!!
The world we live in is obsessed with self and obsessed with personal gain. As Christians, we know that isn’t biblical in the slightest; we know that our lives are to be obsessed with Jesus and centered around loving and serving Him, not loving and serving ourselves. In today’s message, Pastor Terry will remind you of who created you and gave you everything…Jesus gave you freedom, life, and unconditional love! How could you not love and serve the one who gave everything to you?!
Unfortunately, there are false preachers, there are those who pretend to be Christian for their own benefit, and those who simply wade in the shallow end of Christianity. In today’s message, Pastor Terry will inform us about these people whom we encounter, but Pastor Terry will share that there is protection from their lies and influence. Just know the Word of God! When you’re immersed in God’s Word, when you swim in the deep end of Christianity, you simply cannot be tricked or deceived!!!
For most of us, we spend years dirtying our lives with sin, and eventually, that sin must be eradicated and cleansed. We must be cleansed of sin to enter heaven…that seems like a heartbreaking sentence by itself, right? Because we can’t be free or clean of our sin on our own. In today’s message, Pastor Terry will bring hope, because it doesn’t stop at that sentence! We must pay for our sin and be washed clean… thankfully, Jesus has already paid the price, forgiven you, and washed you clean!
Sometimes I just wish I had a GPS for my life. Something that can guide me through all of life’s ups and downs. Here’s the thing: if you commit yourself to the Lord, He’ll give you the desires of His heart and allow you to be led by Him. What I realized after listening to Pastor Terry today is that I don’t need a GPS because it’s not what I need but who I need. You need Jesus to be the one who’s shaping your every decision. You’ll never be led astray if you put your faith in Him and believe.
