MPP for Nickel Belt since 2007, France Gelinas was trained as a physiotherapist and has been the executive director of the Community Health Centre of Sudbury, on the United Way's Citizens' Advisory Panel, served as president of the Francophone Reference Group of the Northern Ontario School of Medicine.
As Executive Director of the Community Health Centre in Sudbury, France oversaw the expansion of Health Care services to many small and rural communities.
France has been an advocate for Nickel Belt residents on important local issues, such as Health and long term care, small and rural schools, water protection, and helping small businesses.
