Anne Harbers received her M. Art History and is spends part of each year in The Netherlands whilst working on her PhD on the 17th century Dutch painter, Abraham van Beyeren.
She also holds an MBA & Masters research degree in science and worked for 30 years in medical research & international business.
Her current art history research interests lie in Dutch 17th Century and 17th to 19th century European Art and Decorative Arts.

Today, Anne will share her expertise on the art of silver, its history, and the stories behind some of the stunning pieces.
Silver has always represented wealth and status. The story of antique silver gives us a window into royal use of silver to its importance in the 18th century and into Regency times. Silver represented society manners and tastes but also extravagance and fashion.
