I’ve been a raving fan of this powerhouse of a woman in fitness and nutrition for over 2 decades now. After discovering JJ Virgin and all of her books, articles, and interviews as a nutrition student 20 years ago, I still can’t get enough! As one of her biggest fans and followers, it was an absolute honor to interview her.

JJ Virgin, triple-board certified nutrition expert and Fitness Hall of Famer, and I discuss the importance of aging powerfully and how to achieve it. She emphasizes the need to focus on building and maintaining muscle mass, as well as the role of nutrition in supporting healthy aging. JJ shares three key pillars for aging powerfully: fueling the body with protein, engaging in resistance training to lift heavy things, and prioritizing sleep for recovery. She also highlights the importance of tracking progress and making adjustments as needed. Overall, JJ encourages women to embrace aging as an opportunity to live a powerful and fulfilling life.
