Lynnlee Morrison is a sophomore at Rose Bud High School and a member of White County 4H and the Rose Bud FFA. She is active in 4-H and FFA activities and shows dairy and beef cattle. She lives a busy life and even at her young age is a dynamic advocate for agriculture.

Sarah Shelton-James is the owner of BWG Herbal Teas based in Casscoe, Arkansas. A former vet tech, she decided to try herbal tea to relieve her stress. Fast forward five years, and now she farms her own herbs and blends over 30 varieties of tea to help others find the health benefits they are looking for. 

In today's episode, Jessica sat down with Sarah to talk about her story, herb farming in Arkansas, and the benefits of herbal tea.

Madison Scarbrough is a junior at Searcy High School and a member of Searcy FFA. She is active in FFA activities and recently competed in the Prepared Public Speaking competition. Her topic was on the decline of the dairy industry.  She was a member of the Arkansas State FFA Champion Dairy Judging team in 2024.

Today, we talked with Sherrie about the H2A Program. Sherrie Mitchell is a Senior Casework Manager for Congressman Rick Crawford in Jonesboro, Arkansas. 

The H2A program allows U.S. employers or U.S. agents who meet specific regulatory requirements to bring foreign nationals to the United States to fill temporary agricultural jobs. Our farmers and ranchers depend on the H2A program to help fill the gap for their labor needs. Sherrie explains the program and how she can assist our agricultural producers with the necessary paperwork.

Kim Hunt-Thornhill has always been involved in agriculture, growing up on row crop farm in Wynne and was a chemical sales rep for several years. She now juggles two careers in agriculture - crop insurance and recruiting for agricultural companies.

Morgan Gaither grew up on her family's cow-calf operation in Nashville, AR. She watched her dad practice veterinary medicine, which inspired her to pursue the same career. Now, she is a senior at the University of Arkansas majoring in poultry science, and she hopes to attend vet school in the fall.

Jenna Martin was adopted from Russia at 16 months old. She was raised on a row crop farm in northeast Arkansas, and she attended East Arkansas Community College and Arkansas State University. Now, she is a county extension agent in Cross County.

Morgan grew up on a cow-calf operation in Hickory Plains, AR, where her family also raised hay and sorghum. She was first introduced to agricultural education when she joined FFA in high school. That's when she knew she wanted to teach agriculture someday. And now she does! Morgan is working on her fourth school year as the ag teacher at Mayflower High School.
