While workforce challenges are significant, there are many opportunities available to hospitals and health systems to improve care, motivate and re-skill staff, and modernize processes and business models that reflect the shift toward providing the right care, at the right time, in the right setting.

To develop actionable solutions, the AHA launched the Changing Workforce Task Force in the fall of 2019. The Task Force is charged with developing bold, new ideas to advance strategic thought leadership on the future of the health care workforce.
