Many ask why muslims perform Hajj?
It is: -
• First and foremost a command of Allah (swt)
• A further submission to Allah’s will
• The fulfilment of one of the pillars of Islam
• An amazing Ibadah wherein the muslim completely submits his will to Allah making it an unforgettable experience, a spiritual retreat-
Which helps in attaining Taqwa.
Celebrates Tawheed (Oneness of Allah)
Remembering Allah constantly, increasing the Iman and nourishing the heart
Perfect place for doing good deeds and seeking forgiveness and Allah’s pleasure
Helps us to understand our purpose further
A step towards righteousness because hajj demonstrates and programs us toward good.
A practical demonstration of universal brotherhood – we are all equal but for our good deeds
Reminds us especially of Muhammad (saw), Ibrahim and Ismail (as)
If one knows its value and has the ability (financially and otherwise) to perform Hajj, they will not miss the opportunity.
