I had been meaning to post this interview for weeks. But I procrastinated. Then I saw the news that the R&B Legend Freddie Jackson had passed away. Mr. Jackson was no doubt one of my favorite music artists to interview during my time at Smooth Jazz 98.1. He had an infectious, positive attitude, and you could tell he loved his life and his music. I especially enjoyed his reflections on growing up around the famed Apollo Theater. This is my 2018 interview, as he was on a press run for his Love Signals album. Check it out, and rest in peace to the one and only Freddie Jackson.
