A Colorado school district has found a solution to its bus driver shortage by partnering with RouteWise AI, a technology developed by HopSkipDrive. The AI analyzes available vehicles and determines the most effective routes, producing a first draft in hours and finalizing them over a weekend. This has enabled the district to operate 55 bus routes, supplemented by rideshare services with specially-trained drivers. The result is a significant cost saving of over half a million dollars, improved on-time arrivals, and higher driver pay. Parents and students appreciate the service, which has also protected ten teaching positions.
