Episode 129: #OnTheStacks in the blu door studio with Comedian and Copywriter, Nick Tonery and New York City Creative and Co-Founder of Brrrn, Jimmy T. Martin. Host Bill Corcoran Jr. welcomes two highly engaging and entertaining guests for the first episode in the new blu door studio and #OnTheStacks Podcast HQ in Kingston, Pennsylvania.
This episode is where sketch comedy, copywriting, and martial arts meets entrepreneurship and small business. And believe it or not, they’re all related. As the famous saying goes, “if you can make it in Düsseldorf, you can make it anywhere!” Nick shares his recent experience of “resetting the algorithm,” and how the online content we consume affects our lives both positively and negatively. Jimmy talks about the importance of losing while you’re in the process of winning and how it’s helped prepare him for times that he faced adversity.
Nick and Jimmy also explain how to “yes, and…” a conversation and how it improves communication in both a personal and business setting. They even re-enact a few of their favorite sketches they’ve written and performed at the PIT in New York City.

Episode 127: #OnTheStacks in the blu door studio with former Wall Street Managing Director, Manny Santayana.
“Do the right thing and fear no man!” That is the mantra Manny lives by.
Despite almost getting fired from his first sales job at IBM, Manny went on to become a top salesperson at IBM and then for a firm on Wall Street. In 2002, he led an algorithmic electronic trading team at Credit Suisse, where he increased the sales from $2.5 million to $1 billion+ across 47 countries. They ranked #1 in the world and executed 9% of the total US trading volume.
Later in his career, he became Head of Sales at NASDAQ, and is responsible for rebuilding the entire NASDAQ sales force after their global trading clients were adversely affected by the Facebook IPO technical trading disaster in 2012. Throughout his life and career, Manny has seen it all, experiencing extreme highs and lows, and what he calls the 4 C’s of Sociology: Cooperation, Competition, Conflict, and Corruption. Manny explains how he navigated these phases and the greatest lessons that Wall Street taught him about life.

Through creative writing and playing music, he was able to build confidence that now enables him to excel at the highest level in the courtroom. Jamie learned that in both law and life, nothing is as it seems and nothing is black and white, and only by following the process can you get where you need to go.
Anzalone’s mission is to fight for people that can’t fight for themselves, and while many perceive personal injury attorneys in a negative light, this episode may leave you thinking differently after host Bill Corcoran Jr. challenges Jamie on those negative thoughts and misconceptions.
