Today’s episode is about getting into bigger rooms with bigger people than you. Rooms where you’re not the teacher, but the student. This is the ticket to exponential growth towards becoming extraordinary in whatever aspect of life you’re focused on improving. I tell a story from my life where I put myself in a room with Pat Summitt: Olympic Gold and Silver medalist, Naismith Basketball Coach of the Century, 11th in Sports News list of 50 Greatest Coaches of all Time and the only woman on that list. Awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by Barack Obama, received the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the ESPYs and inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame. I put myself in this room to grow myself mentally and physically beyond what I knew was possible staying in my own comfortable bubble. In this room Pat Summitt pushed me beyond my limits along with 500+ other girls. I was exposed to a hunger in other human beings to excel that I never knew existed and I share something that happened at the end of the training camp, something Pat Summitt gave me that changed my life forever.
