My guests for AIR's 85th episode are none other than @donato-dozzy and @neel, also known as Voices from the Lake.

Each beloved producers and DJs in their own right, Donato and Neel have been bound together by music since the earliest days of their friendship, and Voices from the Lake is the logical continuation of that union, part improvisation, part dialogue, all trust. Forged for what was meant to be a one-time-only live showcase for @mindgameslaby in Japan, their closing set would form the basis of one of the most renowned ambient techno albums, their self-titled debut Voices from the Lake. Their follow up album, simply titled II, was released last year, over a decade since the first but well worth the wait. It’s not a remake, but rather a completely new dimension that speaks to their growth as artists.

In this conversation, we’re looking back at Voices from the Lake, the project’s evolution, their deep connection as friends and collaborators, and the milestones that still mean so much to them.
