Welcome to Ep. 62.  Last week was Mothers Day.  I sprouted more seeds, got a few “Space Force” and “The Cool One” going.  I’m going to wait a couple of weeks before I do the sex test DeltaLeaf Labs.  I’ll make a video of that when I do it and put it up on the YouTube channel. Speaking of which I uploaded almost all of the past episodes on our YouTube channel.  I went to the puff and paint art class put on by “Happy Trees Art Class 805”. The art class was put on by two very cool young women, Dayene and Cheyenne. The artists name is Jon and you can follow him on IG @ainthard2tell.  Their next class is Sunday the 26th of May. Strain of the Week: Jack the RIpper - created by crossing the Jack’s Cleaner clone with a vigorous Space Queen male known as Space Dude.  Lemon, Flowery and wet dirt taste and smell. Nice and heavy smoke. Another really good flower is the “Guava Kush”, fruity and sweet, I like a fruity bud.

I didn’t make it to the Refer Madness showing, it got late and I got high to drive.  I also went to the QCNE on Thursday and met a lot of great people again. I saw Justin 101cbd.org there and met a veterinarian that I plan on having on the show soon to talk about cannabis and our animals.  I’ve been taking the raw CBD for 2 weeks and here’s what I found. It’s a combo of predator/pest of the week with Trichogramma and caterpillars.

Show Notes: Welcome to show #59.  I cracked some mystery seeds this week, I found them in jar on a shelf.  I used the cup of water and paper towel technique. IG suggestions - Derek Gilman suggested hanging the bag so the roots grow straight down which makes them easier to plant.  Someone else suggested soaking the seeds in a 1:1 ratio of water to hydrogen peroxide for a stronger tap root, I’ll try that next time. I can’t find who suggested that.

Strain of the Week:  Dutch Treat: The dense, sticky buds, smell of sweet fruits mixed with pine and eucalyptus trees. The cerebral high comes on quick and leaves consumers feeling uplifted and euphoric while reducing stress and relaxing the mind.

Legislation is pending, House Bill 1383, that would decriminalize certain marijuana possession offenses.

The bill would would impose a civil penalty for the possession of up to three grams of marijuana, punishable by a $30 fine.

Update: HB 1383 was heard and approved by the Committees on Judiciary and Public Safety, Intergovernmental, and Military Affairs on 3/19. The bill was amended to lower the fine from $200 to $30.

Show Notes:  Welcome to episode 54, thank you listening.  This is going to be short episode. I hope everyone is doing well, me, I’m tired of the winter, it’s been an especially wet on this year. I’m also sick again and tired of that  too, i’ve had it for about a week and I’m hating every second of it. Because of being sick I was able to put together the “predator of the week”. But it will be back next time and it will be on praying mantises.   It’s been a bad week, I also had a problem with my recording equipment, so I lost the audio of an interview i did with Sara Rotman about hoop house ordinance battle still going on Santa Barbara county, but I’ll still talk about that later.  On a happier note, I’m going back to Texas to visit my folks at the end of month, that should be interesting.

Strain of the Week:  ChemDawg - Is a cross of “Nepalese and Thai, and is known for its distinct, diesel-like aroma. Pungent and sharp, you’ll be able to smell this hybrid from a mile away.  Cannabis newbies be warned: Chemdog tends to be very potent. Depending on grow conditions, this strain tends to have THC levels of 15-20%. Consumers can expect to have a very cerebral experience, coupled with a strong heavy-bodied feeling.

Strain of the Week: Grand Daddy Purple or granddaddy purp.  The internet says -Introduced in 2003 by Ken Estes, Granddaddy Purple (or GDP) is a famous indica cross between Purple Urkle and Big Bud.  It is a heavy indica and it will give you couch lock but it’s great for combating pain, stress, insomnia, appetite loss, and muscle spasms.
