In today's episode, we will be discussing Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at Universal Studios Florida. Rockit is a technologically impressive coaster, but is quite polarizing among coaster enthusiasts. While some say it has a thrilling layout mixed with great music, others would rather ride Woody Woodpecker's Nuthouse Coaster. Regardless, the ride was the first to feature several unique coaster elements as well as some brand new technology never before seen on a coaster. To this day, the attraction continues to draw in large crowds and is a hit among the GP.

In today’s episode we’ll be discussing Dominator at Kings Dominion in Doswell, VA. Though Twisted Timbers and Intimidator 305 get most of the attention at Kings Dominion, Dominator is still a major crowd pleaser at the park. The attraction is the longest floorless coaster in the world, and features the 3rd-tallest vertical loop in the U.S. But most importantly, Dominator also has a fascinating history that involves a defunct and infamous amusement park. Today we not only discuss Dominator, but the controversial and unfortunate downfall of Geauga Lake.

In today's episode, we will be discussing Phantom's Revenge at Kennywood in West Mifflin, PA. The development and opening of this legendary attraction sparked a phenomenon in the industry known as the Coaster Wars. However, the ride's initial opening was less than ideal. Though the park will deny it, Phantom's Revenge was certainly an uncomfortable experience when it first opened as Steel Phantom. However, the park was able to breathe new life into the coaster and turn it in to one of the best steel coasters in the world, and continues to rank as a Top 20 coaster in the country to this day.

In today's episode, we will be discussing Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. Ever since it opened in 2014, the attraction has consistently pulled in large crowds, and has become an instant classic among Disney fans. Though the coaster is relatively tame, it debuted several new technologies and features that make it completely unique from any other coaster in the country. To this day, Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain may bring more thrills, but the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is able to provide a fun experience for adults while introducing younger riders to the world of rollercoasters.

In today's episode, we will be discussing Wildcat at Hersheypark in Hershey, PA. Though the ride has developed a reputation for being rough and uncomfortable, when it opened in 1996, it was revolutionary and extremely thrilling. Wildcat was also the first coaster ever manufactured by legendary coaster manufacturer Great Coasters International, or GCI. The coaster was ranked number 11 in the Golden Ticket Awards' wooden coaster rankings in 1998, and remained in the top 50 for 12 years. Even though the attraction is mostly forgotten about now with additions like SkyRush and Candymonium, Wildcat is an important part of the park’s history, and marked the beginning of Hersheypark’s transition into a destination amusement park.

In today’s episode, we will be discussing Powder Keg at Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO. Though it often gets overlooked in the industry, Powder Keg is widely praised for its surprisingly intense launch, great airtime, and unique layout. Many enthusiasts have said that although Silver Dollar City does not have a hypercoaster, Powder Keg sort of fills that gap in their lineup. Powder Keg was nominated for the Golden Ticket Awards' best new ride of 2005 but lost out to Hades at Mt. Olympus. In its opening year, it was ranked number 40 in the steel coaster rankings by the Golden Ticket Awards, but fell out of the top 50 in 2007. Though Outlaw Run and Time Traveler have certainly become the star attractions of the park, Powder Keg continues to draw in large crowds, and remains a staple of the Silver Dollar City experience.
