AIESEC Alumna Akira Sakano is the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Zero Waste Academy, the Co-Founder of RDND and the Curator of the Osaka Hub of the Global Shapers Community.

She provides a snapshot into the tremendous work being done to create zero waste cities and more integrated communities in Japan. She also comments on the big trends Japan is going through as a country, and how she believes impact begins at the local level.
