In this week’s episode we talk with Dani Murcia.

Dani Murcia is a prolific songwriter and producer from Miami. Raised by Colombian parents in an eccentric, warm, and care-free city, and continuing her career in the more reserved, gloomy, and sped up city of Boston has helped shape Murcia’s distinctive soundscape.

After losing her father to alcoholism and suicide, Murcia made it her goal to share her stories and innermost dialogues to offer an achingly honest perspective into her journey through grief and self-actualization. With each song, Murcia creates unique worlds through profuse and delightful harmonies and haunting melodies, in an attempt to arouse curiosity and open conversation about topics often stigmatized and ‘Naturally’, the song she performs in this episode makes it clear.

Dani covers these subjects in her last project 'Breaking Light’, released in March 2019 and co-produced with Koa Ho of Shenzi. She is also on a collaborative project, Her Songs that she co-created alongside 3 other female artists: Marie Dahlstrom, Emily C. Browning, and The Naked Eye. Their debut EP 'Los Angeles' can be found on all streaming platforms, as well as their second EP ‘Toronto’.

For over 10 years, Danny has been working/performing in the music scene for everyone but himself.  Over the last two years, and through some major changes, he has written countless phrases, melodies, and progressions trying to properly put his heart into words and he has done so beautifully.

I'm raising funds to be able to pay for studio time to record drums and vocals at a state-of-the-art studio in Miami, Fl.
