On this episode of the Beyond the Helmet we are joined by the newly recognized NFL SINGLE SEASON SACK record holder, Al “Bubba” Baker.
After some crafty work by the nerds, we now know that Bubba Baker is truly the sack king. Back in 1978 he set the record and finished his career with 131 sacks. The new found research is re-igniting his Hall of Fame campaign all these years after his playing days.
Baker took the time to reflect on this news and his path to get here. Bubba has reinvented himself so many times after his playing days - see Shark Tank or check out QVC - that calling him a former NFL athlete almost disrespects everything he has done since then. Al even took the time to speak about two new projects he is working on, one illustrated and the other a screenplay. He is truly walking proof that once you understand what it takes to win, you can win in anything you apply yourself too.
