An excerpt from today's sermon on "the promises of God"

1Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Having money is a beautiful thing, in fact money is a defence, but putting money above your morals and faith is wrong and evil. Your priority in life should be to create a good life for you and people around you, not gathering money by any means necessary. Money is just a slave and not a god.

Invest in creating memories with your family and friends.

Focus on living a life that pleases God through service to others and let God provide your needs even through money.

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Jeremiah 29:11 provides a good motivation for living.
