The Katheryn D. Katz ’70 Lecture Series was established in 2014 to focus on the family law topics that Professor Katz made central to her teaching, including domestic violence, gender and the law, children and the law, reproductive rights, and inequality.

The Albany Law Review Vol. 86 explored a simple question with complex legal and social answers, “From OnlyFans to Pornhub, we’re surrounded with legal ways to sell sex, but 'prostitution' is still a crime on the books in New York. Should it be?”

The student-run law journal’s fall 2022 symposium was Sex Work: Legalization and Decriminalization.

The Albany Law School Alumni in Residence honor is bestowed to an alum/alumna by the Dean as a recognition of the influence and impact that person has on a sector within the legal profession. Inaugurated in 1992, the program brings an alum/alumna back to campus to share their story and expertise with current students, faculty, staff, and other alumni. This year, Albany Law School welcomes back Damien Granderson, Esq. ’03, as the 2022 Alumni in Residence. 

Damien Granderson, Esq. ’03 has represented some of music and entertainment’s biggest stars and later this month he will share his insights with Albany Law School’s students.

A founding partner at Granderson Des Rochers, LLP, Granderson has served as counsel and handled transactions for Nicki Minaj, Zendaya, A$AP Rocky, J. Cole, Wizkid, J. Balvin and other notable artists and entertainers.

For the past three decades the Government Law Center at Albany Law School has brought together experts from around the world to address major legal and policy issues pending before New York State Government as part of the Warren M. Anderson Series.

The series celebrated 30 years of information dissemination on Thursday, Oct. 20 as Government Lawyer in Residence Bennett Liebman will spoke about the history of gambling and ethical government regulation in New York State and strategies to improve the integrity of government regulation of gambling.
