The mind-numbing melodic pacing and extremely ugly synthetic textures summed up a disastrous attempt to sound fun and market friendly.

Even if the messages and meanings are straightforward and basic, it's difficult not to enjoy an album as tuneful, spirited, and jovial as this.

This is a pleasant and easygoing work that may not be as sonically brilliant as DeMarco may have aimed for, but has enough ambition and uniqueness within musical layers to be a worthwhile listen for most general audience
