Jesus begins teaching about the kingdom through parables. God can work in immeasurable ways and bear more fruit in and through us than we can imagine, but will we have eyes to see and ears to hear? Will we faithfully scatter kingdom seeds and trust that they will grow in time?

The Kingdom of God now confronts the kingdoms of this world head on. Whether they be religious, political, spiritual, or even family kingdoms – Jesus exposes where our allegiances lie.

The King has arrived and the kingdom is breaking in through Him. Jesus begins to build his following and display what it looks like when Eden is restored in our hearts, lives, and communities.

Mark opens his gospel with a pronouncement for the ages, the long awaited king is coming and we must ready ourselves. All that Israel and humanity has hoped for is finally here, but will be ready to receive what he offers?

Jesus teaches us to pray, "Your kingdom come". But what does that really mean? We dive into our theme for 2026, "The Kingdom" and how it shapes our hopes and prayer lives.

We start the new year off surrendering all to God in prayer. We cover what God is always up to, how to stand firm in those truths, and then discern how God might be working toward those ends in our life in this season.

Jesus finishes his dialogue with the 11 by assuring them that he cares deeply about their joy. Despite the pain they are about to experience, joy and life will come. And while we often will have challenges in this life, we can also find joy in Jesus despite our circumstances.

Littered throughout Jesus' last night are references to the one who would come after him, the Spirit. Jesus actually says it is for our good that he goes so that the Spirit may come! What makes this advocate so special and powerful and how do we experience his presence in our everyday life?
