At the end of March, I took myself on solo trip (my Mumma moon) to Bali and spent 7 days in silence at Bali Silent Retreat. 🌺

If you hadn’t heard part 1 where I share my reason why I chose to go on a silent retreat in Bali and the first 3 days, then pause this episode and go back and listen to Ep #62. 🎧

When you think about retreats held in Bali, you no doubt think of the delicious food, yoga classes, massages and spending time chilling around a pool.

Well, have you ever thought what it might like to go on a retreat where you leave your device in the Hand Phone Hotel and spend the next 7 days in silence?

In episode #62 of Alchemy Mindset with Anna Hastie, I share My Experience of Silence in Bali.

This retreat was ultimately my reward to myself after a busy and successful quarter 1 of business. It also became dubbed as my Mumma Moon. My week away from my family to just be by myself, have time for reflection, do some inner healing that had been sitting on my mind for awhile and enjoy not only doing nothing mixed with meditation, reading, eating, journaling, sleeping on repeat.

Having this time and space to do all those things was solid gold. I found this experience so rewarding that I had to share it on my podcast!

Two sides of guest interview - what they do and their zone of genius and the mindset around creating and starting their business.

Today I throw this out to Psychologist Leanne Tran.

Leanne is a registered psychologist who began her career working with children and families, and has loved it ever since. Families see Leanne for assessments to understand Autism, ADHD, Specific Learning Disorders among other things.

She has found that there are always people waiting to access support, especially in rural areas. As a result Leanne provides online information for parents about what children need for development, how this can be adapted for kids developing differently, and practical implementation strategies.

We covered:

💼 How she started her business and found her niche and focus as a psychologist
🧘‍♂️ Why it is important for parents to be calm and regulated
🛠️ The tools Leanne uses to stay cool, calm and collected with 3 kids of her own
🔄 The changes she is seeing within society around parenting and modeling

🏫 Her thoughts around the current systems including schooling and children's needs
👩‍👧‍👦 Teaching their parents they too can support their kids and themselves

I’ve been wanting to create an episode on Breathwork for a while and was just waiting for the right person to enter my world to co create on this topic.

Fionna or Fee as most people know her was exactly the right person!

Fee had recently decided to follow the calling to pack up her life in Darwin and start the journey back to her home state Victoria. Her travels would take her down the west coast and back across the Nullabor to Vic.

I met Fee at her first breathwork session she held and I knew straight away that she was “one of my people.”

Fee started out working as a registered nurse over 20 years ago, called to help others.
Travelling and working around Australia and overseas, she felt called to more, called to help on a different level.

After navigating life changes, Fee began meditating for herself and realised how incredibly beneficial it was. It was from here she was drawn to alternative modalities in meditation, reflexology, reiki, and breathwork.

A business woman and entrepreneur, 6 years ago, Fee launched her first business in those modalities and Let it Be with Fee was awakened.

In this episode you’ll not only get to know Fee and how she became a breathwork facilitator but also what the benefits of breathwork are and the different types that are currently zooming around the natural therapy space.

But here is the best part - It was after we finished recording the episode that we began talking about Vipassana meditation retreats and Fees experience of her Vision Quest last year! WOW!

In this episode, I am guiding you through a short breathing meditation that you can do any time you are needing to feel a little bit more calm and centered, a moment to rest, or as part of your morning or evening routine or any other ritual you like to do.

All you need to do is find a comfortable place to rest either seated or lying down, and follow the breathing technique.

No prior meditation experience is necessary and you are simply following your breath as you inhale and exhale to a count.
