Take a trip with us to visit our special guest Leigh in South Africa.
Leigh shares how she started her journey in recovery when having to put the bottle down due to her pregnancy. Both she and her husband had a conversation that many new parents should have regarding the future of their new family and how they wanted to break the cycle of alcohol being so widely accepted as the norm.
This beautiful woman who competed in the World Games in Russia is now on a mission to raise awareness regarding the correlation between alcohol consumption and drunk driving deaths, rape, gender based violence and hate crimes. Her message is loud and clear that inequality is not ok.
She shares with us some very unsettling statistics on the amount of crime happening and going unpunished due to overpopulation in the prison system and how she and her outreach is educating young people in poverty stricken communities on basic principals of right and wrong.
This episode carries a very informative and powerful message so please listen in and share with your friends on your social platforms so we can continue to unite globally and re-write the norm for the next generation.
