A short video about my last drum recording session for a talented Australian artist: Gaba Wright. It was really fun! I know there is no music, but... I can't publish it (of course) and this is an immersive view in a recording session...

A new Insta360 experiment today!

I built a dubstep backing track using Logic loops and played some over-the-top drumming on top of it—just for fun.

I have to say, I really enjoy playing over this kind of music: it’s catchy, straightforward, and doesn’t rely on big dynamics—but that makes it a great playground for groove, ghost notes, accents, and linear fills.

Nothing serious here, just a jam session for fun and to see how the 360 camera handles it.

Sharing a quick experiment today: a video shot on Insta360 while I’m improvising a very simple drum pattern. The goal wasn’t to create a “perfect clip”, but to test how much 360 tech can change the way you capture and tell a performance.

It’s my first real dive into 360 cameras and I have to say: it’s amazing. Being able to choose different angles after recording (through reframing in post) opens up a lot of creative options—especially for music content.

The edit is intentionally over the top and very dynamic. It’s mainly meant to showcase what you can do in post, and how quickly you can get results once you understand the workflow.

Let me know in the comments: do you prefer cleaner/stable shots, or more dynamic edits that highlight motion and fast camera changes?

**ITA**

A little experiment from my homestudio: a pattern with shifting subdivisions that feels almost electronic, while still being played on my acoustic kit.

A montage of different drum sessions recorded for my new track “di domenie” (Friulian = on Sunday). These rhythmic layers come together to create a soundscape rather than a traditional song.

🎥 This is a preview of the track and the full video, which I’ll release soon on YouTube.

It will also be available on all streaming platforms shortly.

👉 Stay tuned and follow me to catch the release!

I recently joined the Exes, a party band with over 20 years of history and thousands of shows across Italy.

Really happy to start this new adventure — the season has already kicked off, and summer is looking great.

video.

**ENG**

Here I am again with a very short video. I'm recording several tracks for synchronization and also some of my own tracks. I have a lot of live gigs, so time is what it is... Anyway, here's a short excerpt from my latest session in which I try to use some rather unorthodox sounds on the instrument: Tiger mint boxes tied together, a rattle bought at a medieval historical re-enactment, upside-down skins and various chains...

What do you think?

In the next track, I'll try to add some music and not just drums, LOL.

Thank you for being so supportive ;-)

A short glimpse from today’s recording session in my home studio. I’m working with two Italian producers/composers on a rock album designed for sync.

It’s a new and exciting direction for me — a different way to approach writing and recording, in step with how the music industry is evolving.

**ENG**

Hey, here’s a clip from my latest drum recording session in my home studio. Just set up my iPhone for a quick take, no audio tweaks, totally raw. This is the first pass for a new track, not the final one. I usually start with an idea, but it’s while recording that I figure out what needs tweaking. That’s been my workflow lately. Let me know what you think!
