How does God balance justice and mercy? In 2 Peter 2:4–22, God brings justice to those who perpetuate false gospels while offering salvation to those who hold fast to the gospel of Jesus. This message challenges us to consider our own lives and faith, urging us to trust in God’s ultimate plan of rescue and recompense.

As the church starts to wane in their faith, Peter reminds them of the trustworthiness of the apostles’ testimonies about Christ and warns them of false prophets and false teachings.
