On Thursday 9/3/2020, Amazon revealed its new Alexa for Residential program, which will make it easier for landlords and property managers to add dozens of Amazon's voice assistant and Alexa-powered smart home devices into their rental units. This is a smart move for Amazon because 36% of U.S. households are renters. Quite the TAM. Plus, this will acquire new users and have high retention because of the pure utility of Alexa as a smart home control AI.
