Editorial Reviews:
Alias the Baron: The Baron Series, Book 5 is the work of a man the Mystery Writers of Ameria named a grandmaster and who sold more than 80 million copies over the course of his career. This particular episode tells the tale of Mannerling's (alias The Baron) unfortunate purchase of a lot allegedly cursed emeralds. Philip Bird's performance brings life to Creasey's novel of deception and intrigue. Bird particularly excels at accentuating the suspense and danger that fill every minute of this spine-tingling mystery.
