In 1942, a 15-year-old Jewish girl named Sara enjoyed a carefree and protected life in the quaint French town of Aubervilliers-aux-Bois. However, the Nazi occupation of France casts a looming threat of deportation. One fateful morning, German soldiers invade Sara's school in search of Jewish students. With the assistance of her paralyzed classmate Julien, whom she hardly knows, Sara finds refuge in a barn on her family's farm. As the months drag on, Julien's tender care helps Sara survive the long, dreary days and frigid nights.

I found Salem's Lot to be quite remarkable. Initially, I had concerns since it had been on the shelf for several years. As with many things, it will undoubtedly attract its share of criticism, as people often enjoy voicing their complaints. However, the film surpassed my expectations, and I look forward to watching it again soon. The cinematography was stunning, featuring some haunting visuals. A significant amount of effort went into the film's production. With a lot of story to convey in a limited timeframe, they dove straight into the action from the start. The original miniseries had a longer runtime, allowing for a more leisurely narrative. As a fan, I was genuinely satisfied with this remake.

I loved this movie from start to finish. First of all, Burton's skill is unmatched, it's obvious, that his ability to transport the audience to his world is incredible. I especially liked the intro. The sound and music are exciting, the cinematography is wonderfully rendered, and the opening credits are something I missed in the new movie.
