Dr Alison Fixsen from the University of Westminster talks about understanding the outcomes of social prescribing beyond health. Alison is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology and Ethics Coordinator for the School of Social Sciences at the University of Westminster. She is an experienced practitioner and researcher in health and social sciences with a particular interest in mental health social justice. Alison has written widely on topics such benzodiazepine withdrawal, staff wellbeing and more recently social prescribing. The work she discusses here relates to a Big Lottery funded project, which mapped the many and diverse health and social outcomes of social prescribing.
