This is the second part to my conversation with Ian Jaydid. If you have not yet listened to the first part I recommend listening to it!
Hey Folks, welcome to The Dream Train Express. A series of live interviews, with people form all walks of life, sharing their dreams.
My guest today is a dreamer, dream guide, mother and meditation teacher.
She shares a dream that she had during a stressful and uncertain time in her life.
She titled her dream "unearthing the tiger" She found herself in a field where someone had been excavating. Someone had been digging and she comes upon a super large stone. She picks it up easily and dusts it off.
A friend is with Jess and they find that there is actually two stones. They are tiger stones. Jess feels that they had lost these stones and finally found them. Her friend is worried people will think that they are stealing the stones. But she reassures him that the stones are for them. They walk back to their trucks and load the stones and then her dream ends.
Jess says she felt relieved of needing to make things look a certain way. "I knew that in that moment my healing had happened, my need to be sure things looked a certain way was relieved."

Welcome and thank you for listening to All Aboard The Dream Train. A dream storytelling podcast where people from all walks of life walk us through their dreams and how those dreams have affected them in their waking life.
In this episode Rachel Olson and I talk about our tattoos and how you dreams can be a solid source for tattoo inspiration.
Both of us have dream related tattoos and on top of just getting them to be sexy, they can also be used in your dream life.
Rachel uses her tattoos and piercings as reality checks to induce lucid dreams.
What is a Reality check? Dictionary definitions that I found:
1. An assessment to determine if one's circumstances or expectations conform to reality.
2. An event that forces one to reassess one's expectations or one's understanding of one's situation.
Luciddreamsociety.com puts it much more gracefully (Thank you!)
1.Reality check is the action that you perform during the day, that tests your reality. It can be psychical or mental.
2.Reality check is an essential and simple technique that will prove to you if you are in the REAL world or in the DREAM world.
Rachels reality check technique is also used by Daniel Love AKA The Lucid Guide. I asked him a few questions relating to the validity of tattoos as RC's and you can hear what he has to say in the closing comments of this episode.

In today's episode we are very fortunate to hear from the incredibly talented artist and dream enthusiast - Laura Pawlik.
She is based in Denver, Co. and runs an art gallery in the arts district of Denver called Atelier on Santa Fe Gallery at 910 Santa Fe Drive, Studio 101 Denver, Colorado.
Luara enjoys reading, writing, hiking and nature in general. She’s also apart of a jungian dream group that has changed her life and outlook on art completely.
“When you dream it’s so honest and so real and.. the pain is just raw. That pressure that people feel when sharing your dreams or painting them, it’s healing for other people too. We get to then have a conversation about painful periods in your life and where we go from there.” - Laura Pawlik
Q: Do you have a dream journal?
A: Yes, I kept a journal before but it wasn’t until I joined the dream group that I could really appreciate my dreams. After joining the dream group is when I started to paint my dreams.
****
Q: What do you do to unwind or relax at the end of your day?
A: I like to read, Ill also do visual meditation which is very helpful. Im pretty chill, I don't have trouble relaxing, I have trouble getting motivated.
****
Q: What kind of books do you read?
A: I love murder and mystery and books on psychology. Carl Jung's Memories dreams and reflections, his books are heavy, they take time to read and digest. I like light fiction too.
****
Lauras story starts at the 36min mark.
****
Lauras first dream is a precognitive dream. She knows she is tasked to write about a tragic/traumatic event (think mass shooting)
She has conflicting feelings about her writings. Part of her wanted to be there to help comfort the grieving survivors and another part of her was glad she was not in harms way. She had the feeling of being assigned to writing about this event.
The dream switches scenes and Laura finds herself walking through the forest path with her two daughters she happens upon a sign that reads “dead end”
Still accompanied by her daughters, she notices a train heading towards her. She had no time to get out of the way so she lays down between the tracks as she knew she would not be hit as long as she was lying down as flat as possible and remained still that the train would go straight over her.
As the train passed over her a visual of her daughter sitting on an open air train cart signaling that her daughter was not harmed by the train. After the train passed Laura joined her daughter and they sat in safety and enjoyed their ride.
After waking from her dream she had a feeling without a shadow of a doubt that her father was going to pass away.
Laura told her family about the dream but they assured her that her father was completely fine.
She had her dream and told her family about it December 3rd.
A few weeks after the dream he was diagnosed With stage 4 cancer.
Her father then passed away on Feburay 8th

Welcome and thank you for listening to All Aboard The Dream Train. A dream storytelling podcast where people from all walks of life walk us through their dreams and how those dreams have affected them in their waking life.
In this episode I follow the regular format for the show and tell some of the most memorable dreams I’ve had.
How do I relax/unwind?
I believe that a good nights rest starts in the morning and throughout your day and that whatever you do sets you up for good sleep or not.
Sleep Aids rituals?
Yep! An eye mask and sometimes headphones with natural sounds or binaural beats. minimizing noises and light.
Do I keep a dream journal?
Yes, but only recently. Dreams were not much of a focus when I was younger but now I realize how unique they are and how powerful they can be. I plan to start drawing and painting my dreams more.
Night owl or Lark?
I enjoy earlier mornings. I just can’t hang with night owls. I get so tired so early. Im the first to fall asleep when socializing with friends.
Average hours of sleep?
7-8 hours very consistently these days. I used to get absolutely terrible sleep. 4,5, maybe 6 hours during my work week while working swing shift. I always felt like a robot.
—————————————————
In my first dream Im hanging with friends ‘when suddenly everyone is gone. I look around and find that all of my friends have retreated to an attic to escape an incoming monster/character.
I start to make my way to the wooden attic ladder but my body will just not move as fast as I want it to.
I accept my fate and wait for the monster to reach the door near where I am laying. He opens the door and I wake up.
——————————————-
My second dream starts out in a similar way with hanging out with a small group of friends. We are at a lookout area in a run down industrial area and spot 2 figures way off in the distance walking our way.
The two characters are authority figures and we believe they just want us to leave the lookout area.
The tone turns dark extremely quickly and we are now being accused of killing or having been involved with killing a large group of people and were are now being accused of this crime. I feel as if im either facing a long jail sentence or possibly death.
After being accused and interrogated this authority figure lady beings to search our car and as she is bend at the waist digging trough the trunk of the car. I make a split decision to take things into my hands and I beat this authority figure over and over repeatedly.
I’ve never experienced the same feeling after I woke up from that dream before. I felt physically lighter, the weight was off of my shoulders. I was finally able to overcome my recurring theme of not being able to stand up for myself in my dreams.
