The digital banking industry has evolved significantly over the past few years. A major part of this transformation has involved banking institutes and Fintechs working together to provide services to their customers. This collaboration has been possible through APIs and governing standards. However, adoption of APIs with a proper understanding of compliance can be a major challenge in this multi-stakeholder setup.

Prior to joining Apiture, David worked at SAS for 28 years, most recently leading SAS' API Center of Excellence and SAS' adoption of RESTful API design. David has a BS in Computer Science from Purdue University and an MS in CS from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

David is a contributor to Financial Data Exchange. He has presented at API and finance conferences and has authored numerous API blogs and articles.

API-led product growth is an extremely powerful way to build and scale a business. Although it’s talked about frequently, it can be quite hard to implement and refine the strategies which lead to product-led outcomes, especially when considering different industry verticals like financial services, healthcare and education. 

It requires a lot of planning and analysing, including constant iterations to improve onboarding and product usage.
