On today's show, I talk about two pressing things that have been weighing on my heart. It's not a comfortable thing to talk about but as we continue to go out and attend events, concerts and festivals, it must be known that the behaviors of some individuals is completely uncalled for. Most recently, I've had 2 friends get drugged in the last month, and I myself have been drugged 3 x's since living in Austin. This is happening everywhere and it needs to stop.

I talk about these specific situations in detail, and how we need to normalize these conversations so others can look out for each other and know that they're not alone.

On today’s show, I have the incredible music duo, Capyac, a Berlin/Detroit/French electronic inspired group with jazz, funk and modern influences, and hands down, one of the BEST and ENTERTAINING live shows you’ll ever see. Yeah I said it and I stand behind it. Get a peek into the minds of Potion (Delwyn Campbell) & P.Sugz (Eric Peana) of their early years and beginnings of Capyac, how they are bridging the gap between their studio sound and live performances, and how they plan to infiltrate the music festival scene with a festival of their own (rhymes with shmickles) as well as their formal announcement to retire, commencing today and promptly end before the weekend.

This episode is a treat for a long-time Capyac fan and those just hearing about them for the first time, and if you could please rate, review and share this episode with others, I would be so grateful And to talk about this or anything on the podcast, find me on instagram at @atxconcertqueen or shoot me an email at [email protected].

Now without further ado, let’s get this party started with Capyac, and if you could please rate, leave a review and share this episode with others!

On today’s show, I’m joined by Austin-based artist & pop-star performer, P1nkstar.  Originally from Mexico, P1nkstar is truly a trailblazer in Austin, and paved her  way at the University of Texas in the LatinX community, and pursued her passion in pop music very early on. On today’s show, I have singer, songwriter, DJ, producer, podcast host and creative visionary, Walker Lukens. Walker is an artist that has come up during various shows on “Concert Queen Connect” and I was so excited to sit down with him and talk about all of his current projects. One of those being his “Song Confessional” booth that takes real life confessions from contributors and turns them into songs by well known artists. We talk about his inspiration to create the Sound Bath album and release it during quarantine, what his performance will be like with the legendary band, Spoon, and finally, his “Remember The Alamo” project that will blow your mind! We touched on so many topics and Walker is one of those dynamic artists that can do it all, and transforms any project he touches into something very unique and special.

Get to know the one and only, Walker Lukens as we talk about it all, and if you could please rate, review and share this episode with others, I would be so grateful And to talk about this or anything on the podcast, find me on instagram at @atxconcertqueen or shoot me an email at [email protected].

On today’s show, I have Austin legend, Bob Schneider, “King of the Live Music Capital of the World”, and winner of more than 59 Austin Music Awards including, Best Album, Best Songwriter, Best Musician, and Best Male Vocals, making him the most decorated artist in Austin music history. Beyond that, Bob has performed all over the world and has released more than a dozen albums, written over 1000 songs, and is a published author.

Bob and I got so caught up in our conversation out the gates that we completely skipped our formal intro and just went right into talking about life and his mental health journey with therapy. We talked about some classic male/female stereotypes, his biggest struggle in life that happened during college, our conservative Catholic upbringings, what he thinks is lacking in music released today, and his reactions to legendary rock n’ roll frontmen that have shocked him throughout  the years.

Please enjoy this very entertaining episode with Bob Schneider, and if you could please rate, leave a review and share this episode with others!

On today’s episode, I am joined by Ruby Jane Smith who has cultivated a following as a music prodigy with the violin, and is a classical violinist and fiddle player. She grew up quickly performing in front of large audiences at ACL and with artists like ZZ Top and Lady Gaga, but knew deep down, that she wanted to be center stage and play her most true sound. Pop music with an influence of her violin background, and developing her voice and songwriting skills.

Please enjoy this very special episode with my new friend and gifted artist, Ruby Jane Smith, and if you could please rate, leave a review and share this episode with others!

On today’s episode, I am joined by OG Austinite, and my ACL & Concert Bestie, Nick Moreau, aka “Yonce”. Nick has become one of my closest friends and someone who is a modern-day historian of Austin’s staple events like SXSW, ACL and Blues on the Green. Our shared loved of music brought us together, but some of my most memorable stories in Austin have been with him. Nick is authentically and unapologetically himself and doesn’t hold back when it comes to being REAL, and supporting his friends and causes he cares about.

We talk about his love for Max Frost and the stages of “Lit Nick” at Love & Lightstream, his wild run-in with Tierra Whack’s posse at ACL and casually attempting to walk off the ACL stage at James Blake, and how his love of music has made him the ultimate hype man at any event we’re at together.

Please enjoy this very special episode with my festie bestie, Nick Moreau, and if you could please rate, leave a review and share this episode with others!

On today’s episode, I am joined by Austin based, trashwave duo, Me Nd Adam. What’s trashwave you ask? A genre they have not only created, but built their sound on, their mantra and rockstar lifestyle. Don’t let the mullet and shock value of Me Nd Adam fool you, these artists have produced an album with their title song, “Heartbreak Kid” hitting over a million streams on Spotify, Vince has a masters from NYU in music technology, and they’re committed to their fans and producing new music and touring soon.

This was one of the most wild shows I’ve done on this podcast and Me Nd Adam don’t hold anything back. They’re banter back and forth is non-stop, but their sincerity and appreciation to be where they are and where they’ve come from is something that will more than likely shock you. Me Nd Adam are the REAL DEAL and I’m so excited to see what this year holds in store for them, and now brace yours

Please enjoy this very special episode with Me Nd Adam, and if you could please rate, leave a review and share this episode with others!
