I share the inspiration behind this podcast, including insights from one of the most influential content creators who has shaped my journey over the past 14 years, pushing me to become more of a creator than a consumer. As I continue to "figure out what I want to do," this podcast has evolved into a space where I share my personal journey with you—sometimes feeling like "a show about nothing," yet reflecting a lot about who I am and where I’m headed.

We dive into the history of the show, past podcasting attempts, struggles with financial debt, emotional burnout, and the challenge of staying focused. You'll see how a show about "nothing" is actually a window into my life, faith, and experiences within the Church.

I also discuss our very first video call for Patreon supporters, the relationships blossoming within the All Around Growth Community, and how your involvement is helping me grow and shape the show. We'll talk about business relationships, the structure of life on the homestead, and why I sometimes question if I'm truly living the homesteading life.

How does this podcast tie into the cooperative spirit of York Meadow Farm? I’m still figuring that out, but it's all part of the ongoing planning and development here on the homestead, including work on a comprehensive land development and permaculture design.

Welcome to a special episode of the All Around Growth podcast.  Today, I'm excited to take you on a journey through an unforgettable experience that occurred at the Ancient Faith Singles Retreat held at the Antiochian Village over the weekend.  Join me as I open up about how this event truly transformed my life. The Ancient Faith Singles Retreat 30+ is a gathering of Orthodox Christians who are at least 30 years of age, unmarried (single, divorced, widowed), and living in the world. The weekend will include daily matins and vespers, and Sunday Divine Liturgy. The group will participate in interactive, leader-led discussion sessions, opportunities for community service, games, and social activities, and free time for relaxation and fellowship. 

The Antiochian Village is a Christian conference and retreat center located on 300 acres in the beautiful Laurel Highlands of southwestern Pennsylvania, just six miles north of the historic town of Ligonier. Owned and operated by the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America, Antiochian Village was established in 1978 through the vision and leadership of the Archbishop, Metropolitan Philip, who dreamed of a place where the faithful of all ages could meet, worship, and become closer to God, away from the distractions of daily life.
