🎙️Here comes the Season 2 of the All-Atlantic Talks podcast 🌊

The new season of the All-AtlanticTalks podcast, an initiative of the All-Atlantic Ocean Research & Innovation Alliance, debuts in March 2023 with many new features. In this season, the podcast will be hosted by Mariana Martins de Andrade, oceanographer for the first cohort of All-Atlantic Ocean Youth Ambassadors. The new episodes will feature special guests who will talk about how we can promote sustainable and accessible ocean science that meets the needs of current and future generations.

This podcast is coordinated by The Brazilian National Council of State Funding Agencies, the Brazilian National Council for Scientific and Technological Development, and the Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, and is under the AANChOR project, that is supported by the European Commission.

In the framework of the All-Atlantic Ocean Research Alliance, the Podcast has the objective of discussing the development of sustainable innovative technologies related to microbiomes, marine biotechnology and aquaculture.

The episode gathers perspectives on Ocean Science Diplomacy and its dynamic role in fostering new milestones and achievements in the All-Atlantic Ocean Research & Innovation Alliance, especially considering the recently signed Declaration.

The Podcast has the objective of discussing the role of the Atlantic microbiome in driving the dynamics of Atlantic ecosystems, focussing on three pillars of research: microbiomes, plastic and the plastisphere, and seascape connectivity, in the scope of improving knowledge for a better management of the Atlantic Ocean and its ecosystem services.

The episode discusses actions aimed at fostering new challenges and finding new and attractive formats to include the most diverse actors that develop actions in the scope of management and governance of the Atlantic Ocean, providing educational perspectives for young talents who operate in the field of marine sciences.

The actions presented are part of the “All Atlantic Training Platform” (AATP), supported by the All Atlantic Ocean Research Alliance and the AANChOR CSA.

The Podcast has the objective of discussing the role of information and data sharing in the Atlantic Ocean and the importance of international cooperation, addressing the principles which guide this cooperation and the achievements made so far.

The Podcast has the objective of discussing the importance of the new generations to become actors of change in their communities, by promoting stewardship of the Atlantic Ocean’s sustainable development.

The Podcast has the objective of discussing the importance of Marine Research Infrastructures and international cooperation along and across the Atlantic Ocean, improving access and sharing principles in this context.

The Podcast discuss​es​ the concept of Blue Schools and activities carried out along the Atlantic, in the scope of Ocean Literacy​, highlighting best practices and impacts of these  initiatives on the short and medium term​, including perspectives for the future​.
