Acts 15:10-11
"Now then, why do you try to test God by putting on the necks of Gentiles a yoke that neither we nor our ancestors have been able to bear? No! We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are.”
Yoke was really heavy farming equipment used back in the day which was burdensome to the animals that had to wear it. Peter is making a parallel here saying that living under jewish law was burdensome to attain and that through grace, under Jesus Christ, that burden is lifted from us. So we pray today that whatever burden you are carrying may be lifted through the grace of Christ and that you may be able to share that grace with others in your community.
