All Day Ruckoff Podcast

In the eighth episode of the All Day Ruckoff Podcast I am incredibly excited to bring you an interview with Kit Klein. Kit is currently the relationship manager (between GORUCK and their Firebases, Gyms, and Affiliates) for GORUCK and was part of GORUCK Class 003.

In this episode we focus on the benefits of being a GORUCK Firebase and what a ruck club can gain from that program. In addition we talk about Kit’s first GORUCK event and a bit on what it’s like to work at GORUCK.

Kit is one of the nicest guys around so if anything we talk about interested you then definitely reach out to him!

In the seventh episode of the All Day Ruckoff Podcast I am incredibly excited to bring you an interview with John Croft aka Big Daddy aka BD. BD was the cadre for Heavy 009 which I took part in with him in Seattle. Since meeting him for the first time at that event I’ve tried my hardest to make it to any events he is the cadre for within driving distance.

In this episode we focus on GORUCK’s new Beached Core Beta event which launches on August 19th. We discuss what will happen at the event as well as how the event came about. It’s a great episode and one you will not want to miss if GORUCK events are something that interest you.

In the sixth episode of the All Day Ruckoff podcast I am proud to bring an interview with GORUCK Cadre and founder of PACElid: Chris Way.

As a GORUCK Cadre Chris spends the majority of his time working in the Expeditions department as well as the newer Constellation event.

We start the podcast off hearing how Chris found GORUCK and what his first event was like. Then we move into how PACElid became what it is today and finish up talking about some of the GORUCK Expedition events.

For those who have never seen a PACE lid before the above two pictures are what we are talking about in the show. I do my best to describe it but, truthfully, nothing beats a picture.

In the fifth episode of the All Day Ruckoff podcast I am proud to bring an interview with the founders of EVERGOODS: Jack Barley and Kevin Dee. These guys have been so busy with their insanely successful Kickstarter that I am honored they took so much time out of their day for this.

During the interview we learn how Jack and Kevin met, how EVERGOODS was formed, and what they have planned for their fledgling company. Jack and Kevin talk about the packs, what makes them special, and the aspects they like most about them.

If EVERGOODS is a company that you are interested in, or if you just want to hear one of the co-founders of GORUCK talk, then make sure to give this a listen. It’s always special to hear passionate people talk about their interests and these two guys are truly passionate.

Make sure to listen through to the end to learn how you can win a free entry into PATHFINDER Ruck Training class number 013!

Two podcasts in two days… what’s going on? So much has happened in the rucking community in the past week that I thought it was worth trying out a new format within the All Day Ruckoff podcast. This episode is your host (Brian) talking about time sensitive news in the community.

With all of the announcements and emails it can be tough to sift through and figure out what’s important and what can wait. The goal of this episode is to quickly get that information into your hands so you don’t miss out on anything.

The episode is less than 10 minutes long and parts of it are summarized below. We’ve got another giveaway for a PATHFINDER Ruck Training course in this episode as well so that’s some incentive to give it a listen :)

Feedback! I would love feedback on this podcast… more so even than the interview podcasts. If these stay in rotation there’s no way they’ll be weekly… more likely monthly or quarterly and only when necessary.

Reviews: If you enjoyed the podcast we would love if you would leave a review on Apple Podcasts. Didn’t enjoy the show? Let us know what we can do better and give us a chance to improve… we’re still getting the hang of this!

The third episode of the All Day Ruckoff Podcast features an interview with GORUCK founder and CEO Jason McCarthy!

We were lucky enough to grab nearly an hour of his time during one of the busiest months for GORUCK. We discuss a TON of different topics including:

• Christmas in July
• GORUCK GR3 Pre-Order
• GORUCK Workshop
• Operation Clearfield
• Jason’s Summer Plans
• Past Six Months
• Constellation 24
• Jason’s Next Event as Cadre
• Jason’s Next Event as Participant
• Spearhead Embroidery on Rucks
• GR3 Configurations

Don’t worry fellow GRT… this is a no-nonsense interview and we don’t waste your time explaining what a GORUCK Light is or any of that other Basic GRT stuff.

The above picture is from when Jason and I hung out in 2013… which was two years after my first event and the first time we met. Time flies and it’s always great to connect and see how he’s doing. Our goal is to have Jason on the podcast a few times a year so we can pick his brain about GORUCK and their upcoming gear and events.

We’re here with the second episode of the All Day Ruckoff Podcast! In this episode we interview Lyell Petersen who operates the PATHFINDER Ruck Training Program. PATHERFINDER is one of THE most popular ruck training programs out there and one we’ve registered for (and paid for) multiple times. We are so happy to be able to have Lyell here for episode number two because he is doing some awesome things with PATHFINDER and we love supporting him.

Throughout the podcast Lyell discusses his first GORUCK event (dubbed SNOWRUCK) and dives into the interstices of the PATHFINDER program. After listening to this podcast you’ll know exactly what you get when you register for a PATHFINDER Ruck Training program and how you can get the absolute most out of it. In addition you’ll learn more about the guy behind the program and why he loves it so much.

When we sent out the June newsletter we said there were going to be some exciting projects for the coming months. This is one of those exciting projects… we are very excited to introduce the All Day Ruckoff Podcast.

In the first episode of the All Day Ruckoff Podcast Brian interviews Jason Galindo (Old Line Co-Owner) and Justin Nickel (RuckFit Director) from Old Line CrossFit. Why Old Line CrossFit? Old Line has an awesome RuckFit program which features 90 (ish) minute team-based ruck workouts.

In addition Old Line and RuckFit are very active in furthering the rucking community. They have started their own ruck event series which is why we wanted to reach out to them for an interview.

It’s not every day you see new ruck event organizers show up to the scene so we wanted to take this opportunity to see how they were doing and what they were planning.

In this episode the topics we cover include their first GORUCK event, their RuckFit program, and their upcoming 8 – 10 hour ruck event called RuckFit Elite: Operation Summer Siege. Give it a listen and let us know what you think in the comments!
