This weekend I got to hear Pastor Jonathan Pokluda speak. He gave a message about God seeking people who will go “all in” with him. Today on ALL IN with Stephanie she talked about 1 Timothy 2:1-6. The Apostle Paul is writing to Timothy to teach and instruct him as his mentee. In this section Paul encourages Timothy to pray for all people, recognizing that Jesus died for all! And he wants to save all. These verses make clear that Jesus is the only way to be reconciled to God. And Jesus is our mediator. Today on ALL IN with Stephanie she asks you to think about why you got out of the boat- why did you begin your walk with Jesus? Why did you say yes to following him? And in remembering this you will remember to keep your eyes focused on Jesus even when you see the effects of the storms around you. Matthew 14:24-31 is the story of the disciples on the boat with a storm raging all around. Jesus approaches walking on the water, Peter calls out and goes to the Lord, also walking on water…until he notices the effects of the storm, and he begins to sink. Crying out to Jesus he says, Lord, save me!” Jesus grabs Peter by the hand immediately when he cries out. “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” Jesus questions Peter’s doubt. Galatians 5:1 tells us that it is for freedom that Christ set us free. What is amazes me about this is how we often remain in bondage to sin, to opinions, to performance and to people instead of experiencing the freedom that Christ desires for us and the reason that He died on the cross for us.

Let's dive in together and find the true freedom to break the chains that have kept us bound through the blood of Jesus.
