God designed the church and gave it a mission to worship and glorify Him, spread the gospel, build itself up, and care for its needy.  Men have attempted to alter the role of the church to focus resources on social and material human concerns and numerical growth.  These alterations are not in line with the expectations of Jesus for His church.

Citizens of the kingdom of Christ are to show grace in their service to Him.  He has shown us grace undeserved, and we must show that same grace to others.  We show grace by granting forgiveness, speaking words of encouragement and truth, serving others, and having empathy and interest in their well-being.  Showing grace will have an extraordinary impact.
