All of My Issues!

In this episode, we take a deep dive into Avengers Infinity War.  Spoilers. . . so many spoilers!  If you haven’t seen this movie for some reason, you might want to wait until you’ve seen it because this episode is completely filled with spoilers.  We also provide plenty of theories for what we believe the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will look like.  Take a listen and let us know what you think.  Do you have a possible theory that we didn’t mention?  Let us know about that too.

Completely unrelated, you get to hear small snippet of Sam singing Pat Benatar’s “Love is a Battlefield”.  What are you waiting for?  Download this and listen to it already!

For our 50th episode, we wanted a special guest.  Usually in our podcast, we like to talk about all of our issues.  Well this comic creator also has a lot of issues . . . over a million of them, or I should say that he has sold over a million.  That’s right!  One single issue of a book that sold over a million copies.  That’s a whole lot of issues!   The person we are referring to is none other than multi-talented, comic book creator Todd Johnson.  He was one of the co-creators of the best selling, Image comic Tribe.  He was also a super awesome guest to have on our podcast.

Now for something completely different.  In episode 49 of AoMI, we have a special guest.  That guest is an up and coming Australian rapper named Mugzy.  That’s right Australia!  He was number 1 in the Hip Hop Charts in New South Wales Australia, and he fits in perfectly with our podcast because he raps about comic book super heroes among other things.  It was a real pleasure having him on, and we hope to have him on again at some point. You can find Mugzy at the following links . . .

Welcome to another episode of AoMI! Here are some of the movies mentioned in this episode:

Blade Runner (1982)

Demolition Man (1993)

On this anniversary episode, that’s right we’ve been around for over a year now, we re-visit one of our previous topics. This time around we add some all new picks, and this time there is 100% more Chris. He wasn’t involved when we first visited this topic a year ago. The topic is the “Best Movies that Could’ve Been Comic Book Movies”.  The title kind of says it all, but let me elaborate on it.  Movies with slight alterations, or possibly none at all, could be turned into comic books.  In fact, some of these movies have been adapted into comic book form, but they started out as movies.  Would you buy that for a dollar?

Some of the movies we mentioned in this episode include:

Death Wish (1974)

Hard to Kill (1990)

The Incredibles (2004)

John Wick (2014)

Robocop (1987)

Unbreakable (2000)

Split (2016)

Every character has one.  Sometimes it may be shrouded in mystery.  It might be an event that defines who they are or who they will become.  What are we talking about here?  Well, we are talking about origin stories.  That’s the topic for this episode.  Everyone has their own favorite character.  Regardless of the character, they usually have a background story that makes them awesome.

Here is a snippet of the ones that are mentioned in this podcast:

Fatality

Mr. Freeze

Phantom Stranger

Silver Surfer
