  • The All-Important Question
This week, Pastor Rick continued the series in Matthew by walking through Peter’s confession in Matthew 16:13–20, where Peter declares that Jesus is “the Christ, the Son of the living God.” He reminded the church that every miracle, teaching, and story in Matthew has been building toward this central question: “Who do you say that I am?” Each person must personally answer what they believe about Jesus, not based on family, tradition, or culture, but by the revelation of the Holy Spirit.
Pastor Rick also emphasized that Jesus Himself is the rock on which the church is built, and that the gates of hell will not prevail against His church. Because of Christ’s authority and His finished work on the cross, believers are called to boldly advance the gospel, trusting that He is with us “to the end of the age.” Listen to or watch the full sermon today.

  • Here’s Your Sign!
This week, Pastor Rick walked through Matthew 16:1–12, where the Pharisees and Sadducees demand a sign from Jesus. Though these two groups disagreed on almost everything, they united in their opposition to Christ—proof that “the enemy of my enemy is my friend.” Jesus rebuked them for being able to read the weather but missing “the signs of the times,” reminding them that the only sign they would receive was “the sign of Jonah,” ultimately fulfilled in His death and resurrection.
Pastor Rick also warned about the “leaven” of false teaching—the subtle mix of unbelief and legalism that can drain the power from our faith and shift our focus from a living relationship with Jesus to empty religious activity. The true proof we need has already been given in the resurrection, and the signs of God’s work are all around us in changed lives, healed bodies, and restored relationships. • What Does Jesus Look Like
Pastor Jared explored Matthew 17 and the Mount of Transfiguration, revealing what Jesus truly looks like—not physically, but spiritually. In this pivotal moment, Jesus pulls back the veil to show Peter, James, and John His divine glory, with Moses (representing the Law) and Elijah (representing the Prophets) appearing alongside Him. The Father's voice confirms Jesus' identity, and we see a beautiful display of the Trinity in action.
But here's what makes this story relevant to us: most of us won't experience a dramatic mountaintop moment. Instead, we live in the ordinary—on random Tuesdays, in seasons of waiting, uncertain about God's direction. Pastor Jared reminded us that faithfulness isn't measured by mountaintop experiences; it's measured by how we live when life is monotonous. Difficulty doesn't excuse disobedience. Whether God is preparing you on the mountain or testing your faith in the valley, you're called to walk with Him, stay tuned to His voice through Scripture and prayer, and trust that He's equipping you for what's ahead. • Jesus Did It Again
This week, Pastor Rick continued our journey through the Gospel of Matthew by looking at the often-overlooked miracle of Jesus feeding the 4,000 in Matthew 15. We saw a powerful scene on the mountainside where the lame, blind, crippled, and hurting were brought to Jesus—and He healed them all. Out of deep compassion, Jesus not only met their spiritual needs, but also miraculously provided for their physical hunger, reminding us that He can take whatever little we place in His hands and do more with it than we could ever imagine.
Pastor Rick challenged us to give what we have to God and trust Him with the results, to remember that desperate people will sacrifice for hope, and to ask whether we are truly finding our satisfaction in Christ alone. Only Jesus can fully satisfy the deepest needs of our hearts. Listen to or watch the full sermon today.

  • Great Faith
This Sunday, Pastor Jared taught on Matthew 15 about the Canaanite woman whose bold faith moved Jesus to perform an instant miracle. Through the account of this unlikely outsider—a pagan woman from enemy territory—Pastor Jared revealed three essential truths about faith: (1) Anyone can have faith, regardless of background or past mistakes; (2) Faith doesn't give up, even when God seems silent; and (3) God always rewards faith. The sermon explored the critical difference between God failing you and God letting you down—a distinction that hinges on understanding what God actually promised versus what we expect. Pastor Jared emphasized that true faith isn't just believing God can; it's trusting that whatever He does is best. He challenged the congregation to keep chasing Jesus, to ask for big things, but most importantly, to remember that sometimes just being in the presence of Jesus is the greatest reward of all.

  • The Real Problem
Pastor Rick explored Matthew 15 this week, examining Jesus's confrontation with the religious leaders over tradition versus God's truth. The Pharisees criticized Jesus's disciples for eating without washing their hands—a violation of oral law traditions. Jesus redirected the accusation, revealing that the real problem isn't external actions but what comes from within the heart. He explained that while humans attempt to fix sin through reformation, education, hard work, or changing circumstances, God offers a different solution: redemption through His divine nature. This transformation happens in three stages: forgiveness (past, present, and future sins), sanctification (becoming more like Christ), and glorification (being transformed into Christ's image in eternity). The key insight: transformation changes who you are from the inside out, which then changes what you do. Rather than complicating God's simple plan, we're called to prioritize our relationship with Jesus above all religious pursuits. Listen to or watch the full sermon now.

  • How to Walk on Water
This week, Pastor Rick continued our journey through the Book of Matthew by focusing on the story of Jesus walking on water from chapter 14. He drew connections between the disciples’ storm, their fear, and the ultimate victory Jesus promises—even over death itself. Using Peter’s step of faith as a reminder, he encouraged everyone to trust in Jesus even in life’s storms, reminding us that we can put our fears and hardships under His feet. • When Evil Wins
In this week's message titled "When Evil Wins," Pastor Rick explored the sobering story of John the Baptist's execution from Matthew 14. Through this narrative, he emphasized that while evil may win temporary battles, it cannot claim ultimate victory. The sermon highlighted four key points: evil wins its share of battles, living for Christ can be dangerous, Satan can only destroy the body but not the soul, and telling Jesus remains the best way to handle adversities. The message concluded with a stirring reminder that though we may face tribulation in this world, Jesus has already won the final victory. • We Found Something Special in Jesus | What’s Holding You Back?
In this powerful message from Matthew 13, Pastor Jared explored Jesus' parables of the hidden treasure and the pearl of great price. He emphasized that being part of God's kingdom requires a personal choice and complete dedication. Through these parables, Pastor Jared illustrated that finding Jesus is not just about gaining salvation, but about recognizing His supreme value above everything else in our lives. He challenged the congregation to examine where they might have drawn lines in their spiritual growth and what might be holding them back from full surrender to Christ. • From the Smallest to the Greatest | Matthew 13:31-35
In this week's sermon, Pastor Rick explored two powerful parables from Matthew 13 - the mustard seed and leaven. Drawing from Lee Trevino's golf wisdom "it's not how you drive, it's how you arrive," he illustrated how God's kingdom often starts small but grows into something unstoppable. The message emphasized that while the church began with just 120 followers after Jesus' resurrection, it exploded to thousands within days of Pentecost. Pastor Rick reminded us that when God is involved, even the smallest beginnings can yield extraordinary results. Listen to or watch the full sermon and discover how we can be part of God's unstoppable kingdom.
