The path we each walk between our birth and our death is filled with all kinds of trouble and sorrow and suffering. So how do we handle all of this pain? The world offers many methods to escape and cope, but to really deal with our sufferings rightly, we need a savior. The true meaning of suffering can only be found in Jesus Christ. In this sermon on 1 Kings 17:17–24, in which the widow of Zarephath’s son dies and brought back to life, Pastoral Intern Luke Lustfeldt teaches us that God’s grace will meet you in your suffering and he will strengthen your faith in the supremacy of Jesus Christ, which is the only real source of healing for our suffering. Singing is not something reserved for the immensely gifted or the attention-seekers, but rather all people were created to sing––including you, no matter how off-key you might be.
