Sonntag. Wir schreiben den 31. Oktober 2021. Wir sind zurück aus der Sommerpause. Am Roman-Tisch zusammensitzen – bei Kerzenschein mit Blumen und trauter Mehrsamkeit. Das ist ganz und gar chillig möchte man meinen. Das italienische Bier steht zwischen uns und wir machen uns bereit für Gossip par excellence. Auch wenn wir manchmal die Philosophie ankratzen, bleibt es dennoch bei der guten, alten Lästerei. Ein dicker Bussi auf eure Ohren.
Es ist das Staffelfinale. Dafür haben wir uns was ganz ganz Tolles einfallen lassen. Das erste Mal bei All The Things We Said haben wir jemanden eingeladen und uns mit der Person ausgiebig unterhalten. Fresh und ehrlich labern und lästern wir also zu dritt über die Themen, die euch alle interessieren und wir analysieren. Psychische Gesundheit, Sex, Freundschaft und noch so vieles mehr behandeln wir in dieser gar nicht vorweihnachtlichen Atmosphäre namens Pandemie. Mit uns kommt ihr aber gut über alle Hürden des Alltags. Kussi auf die Ohren.
Wir haben uns zusammengesetzt, die Kerzen angezündet und das Palo Santo mehrere Male im Raum herumgewedelt. Gemütlich eben. Diese Episode beginnt mit einem Bekenntnis zum Alkoholkonsum zu Zeiten des Lockdowns. Tyes … Uns ist aufgefallen, dass die Beschränkungen nicht spurlos an uns vorbeigehen und wir einfach mal die Flasche Wein im Supermarkt lassen werden. Aber jeder sollte sich natürlich die Hand aufs Herz legen und sich ehrlich selbst fragen: Was machen solche Beschränkungen eigentlich mit mir?
An einem kalten Samstag im November, die Heizung läuft auf Hochtouren, treffen sich eure Favourite Quasseltanten bzw. Quasselonkel zum gemütlichen Tee am Nachmittag. Der 2. Lockdown hält nun schon seit einiger Zeit Einzug in unser aller Leben. Doch was gibts Besseres als den tristen und eingeschränkten Alltag mit ein bisschen Plauderei hinfortzubitten? Gar nichts nämlich! In der aktuellen Folge unterhalten wir uns über das „Glauben“ an Übernatürliches. Tyes, und dann über die Bibel und zwischenmenschliche Dinge.
Was ist eigentlich Schönheit? Der Begriff bezeichnet etwas Abstraktes, das einer permanenten gesellschaftlichen Aus- und Verhandlung unterliegt. Das Kuriose: Alle benutzen den Begriff im Alltag, obwohl die Bedeutung nicht klar umrissen ist. Trotzdem wissen alle, was gemeint ist. Ob man Schönheit wohl in einer Formel darstellen kann?
Wer kennt das nicht? Man möchte etwas sagen, findet aber nicht die richtigen Worte dafür. Die Gedanken wollen verflixt nochmal in kein verfügbares sprachliches Gebilde passen. Mietze und Daddy passiert das nie. Denn unsere Worte sind ja immer voll on point. In dieser Episode stehen Leitungswasser und Mitmenschlichkeit im Zentrum der Diskussion. Und das ist ja das Wichtigste.
Obwohl die traditionelle Herkunft von Perlen Austern sind, die im Salzwasser leben, können auch Weichtiere, die in Süßwasserseen und Flüssen leben, Perlen hervorbringen. China erntet Süßwasserperlen seit langer Zeit. Erste Überlieferungen, in denen Perlen erwähnt werden, stammen aus dem Jahr 2206 vor unserer Jesus Christus dem Heiligen. Auch die USA waren ein bedeutendes Herkunftsland für Süßwasserperlen seit der Entdeckung der neuen Welt bis ins 19. Jahrhundert, als Übererntung und die zunehmende Umweltverschmutzung die Anzahl der Perlen produzierenden Muscheln erheblich reduzierte.
