Played HS ball in NC before attending LSU to play for his father
Averaged 43.6 PPG for freshman team; moved to varsity club averaging 43.8, 44.2 & 44.5 PPG before the 3pt shot advent; his records still stands
Playing style looked down upon during his day
Perfect player comparison: an offensive minded Jason Williams
Drafted 3rd overall in 1970 draft
Not well received because of rookie contract ($1.9M overall)
Played with Lou Hudson, Walt Bellamy & Walt Hazzard
As a rookie: 23.2 PPG (9th in league) & a 36-46 record
Sophomore season: 19.3 PPG & leaned more on Hudson but same record
Dealt to the expansion team New Orleans Jazz for Dean Meminger, Bob Kauffman & future draft picks (David Thompson & Alex English)
Needed a marquee player to sell tickets; already a legend from LSU days
1st season for NOJ: shot only 41.9% FG
1975-76 season: in only 62 games shot a career best 45.9% & 25.9 PPG (3rd overall)
1976-77 season: led the league with 31.1 PPG; 68 pt game against NYK
1977-78 season: played in only 50 games due to knee issues; 27 PPG
1978-79 season: play diminishing (knees); 22.6 PPG & made All Star team

LV 36, DAL 33 (OT)
LV, who many left for dead, somehow gets the win

Hunter Renfrow was the direct beneficiary of Weller's injury
DeSean Jackson playing the Henry Ruggs III role in this offense

GD's Rock Solid DFS Picks (20:47)
QB: Jimmy Garoppolo (SF) vs MIN: he's been playing well at QB as of late & the SF offense has come on also; MIN pass defense just got torched by Aaron Rodgers (GB)
RB: Darrell Henderson (LAR) @ GB: a forgotten man since his team was on a bye; GB run defense giving up the 7th most fantasy points to opposing RBs
David Johnson (HOU) vs NYJ: a multi-faceted RB who can easily exploit the NYJ awful run defense, even despite the presence of running mate Rex Burkhead
WR: DJ Moore (CAR) vs MIA: now very much playable with Cam Newton at QB; MIA pass defense allowing the 3rd most fantasy points to opposing WRs
Michael Pittman Jr (IND) vs TB: in a game where Carson Wentz will have to air it out, MPJ has a chance at a monster game especially given the fact that TB will do their best to shut down Jonathan Taylor in the run game; plus TB's pass defense can be suspect
TE: Dallas Goedert (PHI) at NYG: NYG pass defense ranked 26th; could be a game where he & DeVonta Smith can feast off of that defense
D/ST: HOU vs NYJ: with Zach Wilson back at QB after his PCL injury & Michael Carter Jr out with a high ankle sprain, this NYJ offense seems bound to struggle mightily in this game
JAC vs ATL: they get an ATL offense that has had a rough time especially without the services of Calvin Ridley who's still out on leave due to mental issues he's dealing with; this JAC defense could very well exploit their weaknesses
Week 11, late games and waiver wire picks (00:34)

Alex English - a fantastic scorer many said was snubbed from the NBA 50 list & snubbed yet again
Pau Gasol - Spanish phenom who was as consistent a big man for his 1st 15 seasons (18 PPG, 9.5 R, 1.7 BK, 51% FG)
Paul George - current 2 way player who could very well make the NBA 100 list when all is said & done
Artis Gilmore - intimidating big who played in the era of Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Dave Cowens & Bill Walton
Manu Ginobili - slept-on Argentinian star who was the catalyst from the bench for the San Antonio Spurs dynasty
