All Things DnD's Story Dungeon

Hi everyone. All Things DnD is back with two stories about DMs. Having players waltz through your encounters that you thought would be challenging can be a bit frustrating. Having encounters that are literally impossible to beat unless the DM allows the players to win is even more frustrating. Listen to how these two different DMs handle encounters and how their players react.

Hi everyone. All Things DnD is back with another story. People that go out of their way to build the most over powered characters aren’t really my cup of tea. Sure it can be fun in the right setting to see how crazy your character can get BUT more often than not it becomes toxic, like it does in this story. Tell us about your power gaming players after listening to this one:

Hi everyone. All Things DnD is back with another story. Becoming so invested in a world a DM creates is a testament to a great DM. Becoming…obsessively invested in a world a DM creates is problematic. This player goes off the rails pretty quickly but there also may be another side to this story. Was the problem player pushed a bit too far and the DM and players may not be as innocent as they claim? Let us know what you think after listening to this story about love, rage, and a player losing their cool over an NPC.

Hi everyone. All Things DnD is back with two stories about villains. Creating interesting villains can be challenging. Villains need a few things to make them good…well bad, a purpose or motivation for their villainy and a reason the players need to interact with said villain. Not every villain needs to be a world ending being from another realm. Sometimes it can be as simple as a rival potion vendor…Listen to these two stories that highlight true villainy and well executed big bads.

Hi everyone. All Things DnD is back with another story. It really is a testament to a great DND campaign when your party manages to ascend to godhood. Most of my campaigns never even come close to that level but I love hearing about those amazing multi-year campaigns. Listen to this story and tell us about your incredible campaigns!

Hi everyone. All Things DnD is back with two stories about good DMing and terrible DMing. Being the DM is a tough job, wrangling gross bards like our first DM can be really challenging, and then being an open-minded friendly DM is apparently too much to ask for our second DM. Which DM are you? Tell us after listening to these two stories.

Hi everyone. All Things DnD is back with another story. What would DND be without an edgelord? Good DND. But, this story is obviously not going that direction. I will say that our love for the game wants us to share this wonderful hobby with everyone, but at the end of the day it really isn’t for everyone. And sometimes you have the misfortune of getting an entire group together that isn’t a good fit for the game. If you’re a DM and struggling with your group and you don’t know if it’s you or them, call in a friend like this DM did.
