All Things Event Planning with April

Great, now you are pregnant and planning events for a living, how are you going to balance both? No one told you that the demands of this career and the new demands of this pregnancy would be team too much. Well, I'm with you sis, because I am you sis, and I want to give you some tips and advice on how to excel at both while growing a human at the same damn time.

April is a special month for me because its a Birthday Month! I'm so blessed to be able to celebrate a new year of life, and I wanted to share with you some of the ways that I (boss lady) celebrate meaningful birthdays. For all the Taurus' out there, it's our time now, so let's enjoy ourselves!

When I heard about the Fyre Festival, I wasn’t interested in going or being a part of it. Something about the whole thing seemed very fishy and odd to me like who is spending thousands of dollars to see Blink 182. All shade, I like a couple of their songs but not $4K worth and also the fact that two people who have zero experience in event production and music festivals were the mouthpieces for it (William “Billy” MacFarland and Jeffrey Bruce Atkins “JaRule”) I KNEW it was a disaster from the beginning.

So many people ask me all the time why do you love event planning? What is the big deal, it’s so hard, I don’t know how you do it. Well, let me tell that to me event planning is an outlet. Just like when a singer sings, a pianist plays, and a hairdresser slays, event planning allows me to be free and let all the juice’s flow.

Outdoor events are beautiful but just like with everything in life it comes at a cost. The cost can be money, time or resources but outdoor events don't magically happen. There are a lot of things involved to get the outdoor event of your dreams, and in this episode, we go over the top six elements needed to even think about having an outdoor activity.
