When your purpose is strong it leads you to investing and performing at a higher level then the vast majority. Often successful investors invest with the future in mind to help them make choice now as to how things are predicted to be in the future.

Use these signs as listed below as ways to asset yourself or align with to become or continue being a purposeful investor.

Purpose of investing is clear and extremely personal
You have or are willing to make an organized path to guiding your investment decisions
You have a clear measure of how to assess and track your progress
You have a follow up plan, in advance, for situations that can negatively impact performance

Investment Checklist:

A investment checklist is simply a list of items to observe before moving forward with an investment.

A brief example, with real estate, is in the following: (Using Real estate as an example but you can do this with any investment)

Sample Real Estate Checklist for apartment investing:

– Occupancy 90% or higher

– Positive cash flow last 7 to 10 years

– Is the real estate of interest in a city that is on the top 25 list for fastest population growth

– Is the real estate of interest taxes are all paid up to the current date

– Is real estate of interest near big companies that employ thousands or hundreds of thousands of people

Analysis:
The analysis is a deeper dive into uncovering the pro and cons and risks of investing in the investment of interest. With so much information and ways to analysis an investment your job is to choose your exact measures.

In February 2009 Fusion-io hired Apple Inc. co-founder Steve Wozniak as chief scientist. This is one of many examples and other examples may include other levels from entry level, middle management and to anywhere in between the lowest position to the highest in business, organizations, communities, governments etc,. Networking.

Networking is a process that fosters the exchange of information and ideas among individuals or groups that share a common interest. It may be for social or business purposes.
Professionals connect their business network through a series of symbolic ties and contacts. Business connections may form due to an individual's education, employer, industry or colleagues.
Networking helps to develop professional relationships that may boost an individual’s future business and employment prospects.
Networking events, such as industry conferences and seminars, are common practice within professional organizations, which may also link up with other groups to stage a joint event or conference.

Jack Stahl, the President of Coca-Cola between 1978 and 2000 and CEO of Revlon between 2002 and 2006 provides a good example of a leader who harnesses situations to his advantage.
In his book Lessons on Leadership: The 7 Fundamental Management Skills for Leaders at All Levels he elucidates many instances where the leadership he exerted during specific situations made all the difference.
Early in Stahl’s career, his mentor Doug Ivester tasked him with preparing a prospectus for the public offer of Coca-Cola’s bottling division. Stahl delegated the project without adequate oversights, and Ivester asked for an early draft, Stahl found the draft more incomplete than he had expected.
Ivester worked with Stahl late into the night as the project had a definite and irreversible deadline. From this experience, Stahl discovered the secret of Ivester’s effectiveness: the skill to combine high-level oversight with the ability to delve into details and adopt a hands on approach when required.
Stahl since then makes it a priority to train others to focus on details as an effective alternative to micro management, and to put the experience to good use to manage Coca-Cola’s operations in 180 countries, a Herculean task 30 years ago when the internet was nonexistent and the world was not as connected as today.
Stahl focused on deriving key metrics from his information systems, yet remaining alert to details.
Leadership doesn’t always have to be this idea of a person who has shaped and revolutionized history with significant influence because e there are leaders all around us including but not limited to family members, teachers, educators, law enforcement, pastors, etc.
It is important we understand that we can’t do everything alone and at some point to expand to a higher level of leadership we need an effective team.

I’d like to share a story. The Oregon-based athletic company was one of the first American companies to outsource most of its manufacturing to Asia. The company was fortunate enough to have had early exposure to operating in foreign locales when they began importing Tiger Shoes (now called Asics).
Tiger provided Nike with plenty of lessons learned and pitfalls to avoid, which helped the company in its nascent efforts to sell Nike overseas.
Like other successful global marketers, Nike had a visual logo that transcended language. Concentrating on using the logo rather than the name, Nike began by endorsing international athletes like Romanian tennis player Ilie Nastase, acclimatizing foreign populations to the Nike logo. The company used these athlete endorsements as the primary marketing tool for global expansion.
Nike broadened the company vision from running shoes and began to brand athletic wear with the Nike name.
Choosing to endorse cricket, soccer, golf, and other smaller sports strengthened the brand, equated it with sports success, and ultimately provided name recognition in every sports venue around the world. This is not a one size fits all because there are lots of small to medium size businesses that go global and they do it in different ways.

What is investing? Find/discover your investment Identification (ID)
Investing is the act of committing money or capital to an endeavor (a business, project, real estate, etc.), with the expectation of obtaining an additional income or profit.
Investing also can include the amount of time you put into the study of a prospective company. The income that results from investing can come in many forms, including financial profit, interest earnings, or the appreciation of the asset.
Investing refers to long-term commitment, as opposed to trading or speculating, which are short-term and often deal with heavy turnover and, consequently, a higher amount of risk.
Intelligent investing is key to building wealth. Investing always contains risk as the business you invest in could go down in value or even close down completely.
It is important to research the business and analyze the risk of investing before putting money down. To learn more about how investments generate capital and why an investment might benefit you, read "How Will Your Investment Make Money?"
The term investing can also refer to time. For example, you could invest your time in working on a project or mentoring a promising young talent.
