This tune is about 'What We've Said' ... to ourselves and others whilst to-ing and fro-ing in this ol' world. I hope you pick up on the underlying self-deprecating humor in the music. ;)

This also includes what we've expressed non-verbally in the moment, to ourselves and 'others', whether via thought, feeling, or through those invisible cords of connection shared with friends and loved ones around the globe.

That said... here's my latest 'Sound Seed', an upbeat bluesy Piano Improv that came through while jamming with a few friends recently.

Here's a little something I've been working on to celebrate the Solstice.

Change is one of the only things we can really depend on in this ol' world. And it comes either suddenly, or via cycles and seasons.

The best strategy, as far as I can tell... is to simply inJOY it! Yeah... kinda like just Groovin' with the Music! :))

Here my friends is a recent Piano Improv in which i seek to describe a life-experience that elicited feelings more intense than happiness, or even Joy; like the inexplicable emotions felt at the birth of one's first child; or one of those deeply transformational experiences that seem to expand out forever.

An impossible thing perhaps...

Here's a tune i wrote for my Muse. 💖

Her name was Paige.

After 35 years of adventures, friendship, and love that produced a wonderful daughter, and many grandchildren, she passed as suddenly as the moment we met.

And yes... over the years, there were both passionate Blues and Heavenly Highs.

And I still remember her daily. She was 'another kind of angel'. ;-) One who cared for every single soul she met. Her humanity and common decency knew no bounds, and those who met her were always blessed in some unique and meaningful way.

.

I wrote this tune a year into my sabbatical on Saturna Island to which I'd retreated to devote myself to creating music. I wrote it to celebrate her decision to move here full-time and share this part of my life with me. No longer would i have to travel back and forth between Saturna Island and Victoria to be with her. And i was overjoyed.

Here's an inkling of the Passion and Love we shared.

Who'd have thunk that only four years later she would die in my arms... and suddenly, at that? But she did. And she did so Gracefully! :)
