We’re two weeks out from the launch of the Nintendo Switch and we have more information as we approach.  Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be receiving DLC content in the form of a season pass, including a new dungeon and an original story addition.  Koizumi is coy about possible Gamecube games being available on the Nintendo Switch but hints at it being in development.  Lastly, Splatoon 2 is going to get a Global Test Fire event next month as well!  We also talk about FFXV’s story not making much sense and that being an intentional design decision, while Corey gets us hyped on Destiny 2 this year...on yet another episode of All You Can Geek!

The X-Men lead the charge in this week’s Moviecast. What did we and audiences think of the mind-bending Legion premier? Will there be another X-Men movie coming out in a couple years? This week we have news of Nintendo Switch online pricing, plus Nintendo’s newest entry into the mobile market with Fire Emblem Heroes!  The Forza developers are branching out with an open-world game and is the Oculus dead after a lawsuit?  Listen to all this plus some thoughts on Final Fantasy XV with us all having beaten the game.

Light news this week as we come out of the post-holiday lull, but the release of the Switch is looming on the horizon with just one more month to go.  Starting off with a Fallout 4 upgrade patch and whether we want to return to it.  We talk about the new partnership announcement between Marvel and Square-Enix.  The rumor so far is that there will be an Avengers game and a Guardians of the Galaxy.  Masaya Nakamura, found of Namco, passes away and we pay respects for his contributions to the gaming industry.

It’s mostly bad news in this week’s Moviecast. The Flash’s movie production seems to be in more flux than the timeline in an average Flash storyline. Meanwhile, did Sony’s movie division really lose them a billion dollars? On the TV side, Fox orders an Xmen series tied into the movies, while the CW continues to destroy Flash and Arrow.

Last week was a new Nintendo Direct and everything was Fire Emblem!  New Fire Emblem on 3DS, new Fire Emblem on Switch, new Fire Emblem Warriors, and new Fire Emblem Heroes on mobile!  We also discuss the December 2016 NPD results as well as yearly top 10 and chime in about our woes with this generation in a nutshell.  Lastly, we go over the details of the new Overwatch event celebrating the Lunar New Year.  

Jim’s out with the Legacy Virus, but we’re soldiering on without him on this week’s Moviecast. Is Pierce Brosnan going to be Cable? Did Netflix’s Luke Cage get a direct reference in Agents of SHIELD? Star Wars is making more content canon by pulling from old literature and KOTOR, while also revealing the official name of Episode 8.
