All4Ed recently released three new policy publications examining how federal and state policy can strengthen pathways to college and careers and expand opportunities for students nationwide.
In this episode of the All4Ed Flash, we take a closer look at all three publications:
• The Case for Federal Investment in Dual Enrollment: Explores how targeted federal investment could expand access to dual enrollment, particularly for students who have historically had fewer opportunities to participate.
• Too Good to Be True? The Implications of Workforce Pell for High School Students: Examines how expanding Pell Grant eligibility to short-term workforce training could affect high school students, course-taking, credential attainment, counseling and advising, accountability, and career pathways.
• Testing the Promise: Building State Data Systems That Connect College and Career Readiness to Results: Looks at how states use college and career readiness indicators in their accountability systems and whether those measures are actually delivering the outcomes they are intended to support.
Together, these publications explore how policy can help more students access meaningful opportunities and ensure that college and career pathways lead to real results.

Two major actions by the U.S. Department of Education are changing how civil rights protections are enforced in education. In this episode of the All4Ed Flash, we explain the elimination of Methods of Administration (MOA) compliance monitoring for career and technical education programs and the rollback of Title VI disparate impact enforcement.
Learn what these changes mean for students, families, schools, and educators, and why All4Ed believes they could weaken accountability and make it more difficult to identify and address discrimination.
The episode also highlights All4Ed CEO Dr. Amy Loyd's response and explores how these policy changes could affect access to high-quality education and career pathways.

The House Education and Workforce Committee has approved the "Less Bureaucracy, Better Education" legislative package—but what would these bills actually do?
In this episode of the All4Ed Flash, we examine the proposed legislation, including plans to move the Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education (OCTAE) out of the U.S. Department of Education and into the Department of Labor. Hear why All4Ed CEO Dr. Amy Loyd and other education advocates believe these changes could weaken career and technical education, increase administrative complexity, and make it harder for schools and states to serve students effectively.
We also highlight comments from Representative Kevin Kiley as the legislation moves to the full House for consideration.
